Historical Conference

On the development, construction, evolution, and use of CMPs (Canadian Military Pattern) Vehicles during the Second World War. This page is dedicated to Bill Gregg and Peter Ford whose dedication to the history of CMPs and efforts to have this historical conference take place. The majority of photos shown on this page were part of Bill Gregg's collection at that time. The remainder of the photos were taken at Camp Borden during a tour which was part of the conference.

This page is a work in progress with more information and individual photo identifications to be added. If you roll your mouse over a picture you should get the hand marker indicating a link this link is to a very high resolution image. These images are between 8-14 MB in size so depending on your connection it may take a long time to down load the image.

There is no order to these images yet this event was before digital cameras, all of these images were shot with a 35mm camera at the time I was using two cameras to shoot black and white and one to shoot color. So what you see is the result of scanning in all the film at 2400 DPI so basically the shots are down to the grain of the film.

Unfortunately I have not found the negatives for the color shots (though I'm looking) so the larger images you see when you click on the color shots are scans from prints.

At the bottom of this page you will find the printed program from the conference which includes biographical information on the panel participants.
